I went to my first Open Jam on Sunday. It was a lot of fun. I even lead a song.

Colorado

So we are back from Colorado. I guess that a lot of you didn't even know that we were going. Mom, Osanna and I had planned to go to Denver at 6:20 Monday morning. We arrived about 40 minutes before boarding. Usually it takes about 10 minutes to get through the security check point. But, this morning it took over an hour. So we missed our flight.

We had a great sermon the day before, the point of application was on rejoicing. We decided that this was a great chance to rejoice. We got on standby for the next flight at 10:40. We went outside for some fresh air, got out our instruments and starting playing. There weren't very many people around so we enjoyed ourselves without bothering others.

The next exciting thing to happen was we saw the Abbott's. It was great to see really friendly faces. And they stopped to chat with us for a while. We were getting cold so we went inside to wait. When we didn't make it on this flight we were put on standby for the next flight which was around 2:20. I called my friend Deb to see if she was busy, well actually, to see if she was not busy and wanted to hang out with us and wanted to pick us up. She was busy. So we waited for the next flight.

We also didn't get on the 2:20. I tried calling Deb again because the next flight was going out at 8:30. And she had been busy with lunch plans. So we thought maybe she'd be more free now. She was totally sweet and picked us up and changed her plans to spend some time with us. It was a blessing! We went to Jenni's to pick up her daughter who was there helping and then went shopping at Costco.

We arrived back at the airport at 6:30pm and when we aproched the ticket counter the man said "Are you the party of 3, Bertsch? I've already got you confirmed tickets." We were excited and checked the two bags we needed to check. Then we went through the security check point (Which took about 5 or 10 minutes.) and waited for our flight. On a side note they let me take my guitar on board as a personal item instead of having me check it plane side, which was very nice.

Memory Lane

I have been doing some remodel in my bedroom. *Pictures of this to come later.* I found a very interesting something behind my huge desk. The desk was empty and took two of us to move away from the wall as it is very large and heavy. On my end I noticed something on the back towards the top...

Perfect Picture - Abbott Videos

While I was doing my "blog check" I saw this one at the Abbott Family blog and just had to show it to you all. It's SO funny! You should check out the blog every once in a while. They have some awesome stuff up.

While I'm linking to their blog I'll add a link to my favorite video. This one has gotten my whole family (mom and dad included) to watch.

My Newest Sister

When I was in Idaho I had the chance to meet my sister-in-laws twin goats. They were actually born while I was there (in Idaho) and I think they were a day old when I met them. Kels helped them to nurse the first few days. She even let me do it a few times. Due to the fact that I'm a twin I totally love twin things. It was great to get the chance to hangout with Kels and see her newest pets. I love that there are goats, and even better baby goats there.

Uriah on the loose!

I returned home last night. We had a good time visiting family. I have a really great family! Something that was especially fun was playing the guitar with Aaron and getting Lis to sing some songs. Osanna and I sound the best (Like as in our best, not the best in the world.) when we sing with her. I also enjoyed being with my three nieces. I got a lot of kisses and hugs. I think they were getting tired with "Where's my kiss?" after a week. But, I need to store them up. My littlest niece took a while to warm up to me. She's young enough that she doesn't really remember me from February.

On the way home something funny happened. I'm not sure if it was because we'd been in the car for about 8 hours or if it was really funny. You can be the judge, but be kind, please. I had gotten an ingrown toe nail while in Idaho, they are very ugly and hurt like, well, really bad! As Osanna, Uriah and I were in the back of the truck Uriah needed to move and here is what was said:

"Could you put the toe in a safe spot?"

"Uriah's on the loose!"
