My Time Off

Last week I took a few personal days off at work. I played Mountain Music with family and friends at a nursing home one of the days and for Osanna's school the next. Of course it was fun! I love playing so much and think that EVERYONE of you should start. It's never too late for those of you who are old. (My dad started playing!) And it's not too hard for those of you who think it is. (My mom started playing!) We have a blast when we jam together.

Anyway, one of the fun things I did was going out with Osanna and Alison. We went fake shopping. What do you think of the outfit?

Tried on shoes which were kind of neat.

Enjoyed a yum-yum slurpee from 7-11. It was really hot, so it was especially great. I treated the girls! I paid the whole $1.50

And then we went to a late night movie. It didn't even start until after 9:00pm! Those of you who know me well, know how often I do that! It was crazy we almost had the theater to ourselves. One lone person was in the back, but you could hardly even see 'em when you looked back. It was like the show was just for us. Very fun!

I know why God made Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all you mothers out there. I hope you enjoy being thought of and loved this special day. In honor of today I am blogging about a little conversation I had in my classroom on Friday. We were talking about Mother's Day and making some special cards for the students to bring home to their mothers when one of my students raised his hand. It went like this:

I see a hand up.
"Yes, so and so?"
"Miss B, I think I know why God made Mother's Day."
"Really, why?"
"Because mothers are so kind and tender it's a special day for them."

I thought it was awfully funny.

Gone And Soon Will Be Forgotten

I came home today and after changing out of work clothes, getting off the phone with Lis and talking with Osanna, I decided to feed my fish on the way to water my seedlings. When I looked at the "tank" what did I find? Well, actually what didn't I find? My fish. It's the case of the disappearing Betta Fish (Who somehow never got a name.). I guess I'll blame this one on the cats. Just a bit odd that they would choose today to enjoy him when they've been drinking from the top of this tank for months.
